On October 17, we were pleased to be able to host a visit by Sugawara (Indianapolis), Matsuura (Battle Creek/Grand Rapids), and Yoshida (Battle Creek) senseis. Other guests included Jacques Van Alsenoy (Antwerp) Sakuma sensei (Detroit/Ann Arbor), and Travis Hill (Battle Creek). Thanks to this visit we were able to have a wonderful practice. For those who do not know him Sugawara sensei is a distinguished MSU kendo club Alumnus. He practiced here for about 4 years as he was completing his undergraduate education.
